(2) increased joint use of resources and facilities for tourism education and training programmes; CONSCIENTSS of improving the efficiency and competitiveness of ASEAN`s tourism services; NOTE the strategic importance of the tourism industry for sustainable socio-economic growth in ASEAN Member States and the diversity of cultures, economy and complementary benefits throughout the region, which would benefit ASEAN`s tourism development in promoting improved quality of life, peace and well-being at the regional level; IN CONCLU A ACCORD ON ASEAN TOURISM at the seventh ASEAN Summit in Brunei Darussalam on 4 November 2001; ASEAN was founded on 8 August 1967 after the signing of the Bangkok Declaration. The founders of ASEAN were made up of five countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Dang, Singapore. Among the fundamental principles of Asean are the strengthening of ASEAN National Tourism Organization (NTOs) cooperation with other relevant ASEAN sectors, particularly in the areas of health, information, transport and immigration, as well as with ASEAN`s external partners, to jointly implement comprehensive, transparent and rapid measures to contain and reduce the effects of COVID-19 and other future crises.
